NK Seeds has unveiled new third-party yield data showing NK® corn hybrids and soybean varieties outyielded comparable competitive products in 2022.1 As a new year dawns and farmers look ahead to another growing season, this gives them one more reason to be confident in their decision to plant NK Seeds corn hybrids and soybean varieties across the U.S.
“Despite agronomic and weather challenges in 2022, many farmers reported consistent, high yields on the combine monitor last fall,” says Andy Montgomery, NK Seeds commercial unit head. “New, third-party yield data confirms that this strong performance trend spanned geographies, crops and products, and that should help make farmers confident in their decision to plant NK Seeds in 2023.”

Corn Success
There were several standouts in the NK corn lineup last growing season, showing national yield averages that beat competitive corn seed brands in third-party, head-to-head performance trials.
For the entire Corn Belt:
For the Midwest:
NK1188-AA had a 0.7 Bu/A average advantage over Pioneer® products (N = 428)
Offers consistent yield potential and agronomics across environments. Notable for its attractive plant height and ear placement, improved test weight and grain quality, and dependable drought tolerance.
For the northern Corn Belt:
For the Northern Plains and New England:
For the northern U.S.:
“This yield data provides a snapshot of our corn hybrids’ end-of-season performance, but NK farmers saw promising signs of success much earlier in the growing season,” says Matt Dolch, NK Seeds Corn Product Manager. “Throughout 2022, farmers reported consistent stands, strong corn rootworm tolerance and broad adaptability — attributes that hinted at a successful season long before the combines ran.”

Soybean Success
NK products showed equally impressive performance on the soybean side when compared with competitors’ products featuring the same traits.
For the northern states:
Across the Corn Belt:
For the Southern Corn Belt and southeastern U.S.:
For the Northern Plains and New England:
“Every bushel matters, and these yield results show farmers the powerful punch that our proven genetics and industry-leading traits pack into every variety,” says Jared Benson, NK Seeds soybean product manager. “Even in the face of drought and disease pressure, NK soybean varieties performed well in 2022. We can’t wait to support farmers and help them achieve success again in 2023.”
