Agrisure Trait Stewardship FAQ

Syngenta Stewardship Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q:
How do I know if I have the most current agreement and/or a valid license number?
A:
The current version of our Syngenta Seeds, LLC Stewardship Agreement can be found on our website at www.syngentastewardship.com. We recommend downloading a new copy of the agreement at least once per year to ensure you are using the most up-to-date version. Current, valid license numbers for field corn and soybean products end in US03.
Q:
What is my license number?
A:
License numbers are generated upon the successful processing of a Syngenta Seeds, LLC Stewardship Agreement by AgCelerate on behalf of Syngenta. License numbers for Syngenta field corn and soybean products consist of 8 numeric digits followed by a version code. US03 is the current version code; licenses containing any other version code are considered "non-compliant".
Q:
What are my responsibilities with this license number? What does this agreement mean?
A:
By signing the Syngenta Seeds LLC, Stewardship Agreement you are given a limited license to buy and plant Syngenta field corn and soybean products. A full list of responsibilities can be found on the Syngenta Seeds, LLC Stewardship Agreement. If you do not adhere to these responsibilities, you could lose access to these Syngenta field corn and soybean products.
Q:
Do I need to sign a new agreement every year?
A:
No, the Syngenta Seeds LLC Stewardship Agreement is evergreen and only needs to be signed once. If a new requirement and/or trait is launched requiring a new agreement and license version, you may need to sign a new agreement. The current version of our agreement can be found on our website. All compliant license numbers end in the US03 version code.
Q:
What is the difference between Customer ID Number and License Number?
A:
The Customer ID Number is the unique identifier that Syngenta uses in our internal system to identify a particular grower or reseller. The License Number (also known as Technology Number, Agrisure Number, or Stewardship Number) is the unique number assigned to a grower after their Syngenta Seeds LLC, Stewardship Agreement has been successfully processed.
Q:
Are original copies of the Syngenta Seeds, LLC Stewardship Agreement needed?
A:
No, original copies are not needed, legible scans or photos of completed agreements are acceptable.
Q:
How long does it take to be processed?
A:
Processing an agreement generally takes 48-72 hours, however during the peak summer months it may take up to two-three weeks. Signing an agreement online at www.agcelerate.com can generate a license number immediately upon completion. Please visit the site for more details.
Q:
How will I find out my license number?
A:
If signing online at www.agcelerate.com, growers can immediately view their license number through their AgCelerate account. Resellers can view license numbers generated from either online signings or paper agreements through AgCelerate as well. If a grower submits a paper agreement, they will have to contact Syngenta or the reseller to obtain their number. We strongly encourage growers to sign online whenever possible.
Q:
What is the difference between the US01, US02 and US03 license versions?
A:
Prior to 2009, all licenses used the US01 version code. In 2009 Syngenta launched a new agreement to incorporate the addition of Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans and Agrisure Viptera®, requiring the launch of the US02 license version. Then in 2013 Syngenta launched the Agrisure Duracade® trait, which required another update to the Syngenta Seeds, LLC Stewardship Agreement and the launch of the US03 license version. Since 2013, the US03 agreement has been updated to include additional traits such as Roundup Ready 2 Xtend®, LibertyLink® and Enlist E3®. The current version of the agreement is still US03.
Q:
Who do I contact if I have pest pressure?
A:
If you encounter pest pressure, contact your local agronomist or a Syngenta sales representative.
